Creating awareness for Diabetes — by using an emoji commonly known as ‘ok’, to show it’s not. Taking the conversation to the digital age.

Text
It’s not OK.
2000 tiny holes a year. That’s how many times people with diabetes have to puncture themselves to measure blood sugar.
Most people aren’t aware, so we tried to stir up conversation in a big national newspaper.
We used a digital symbol, commonly interpreted as OK or good, and redesigned it to suit our message.
By bringing the story offline and changing a well known symbol, we managed to get attention.
